Adsorption of Gold from Copper–Tartrate–ThiosulfateSolutions with Ion-Exchange Resins

چکیده
The adsorption behavior of gold from copper–tartrate–thiosulfate solutions with ion-exchange resins was studied in this paper. Experimental parameters include resin dosage, pH, temperature, copper, tartrate, and thiosulfate concentration. A moderate increase tartrate concentration is beneficial for adsorption, but an excessive or higher temperature depresses the process. Increasing copper concentrations may competitively occupy active sites on surface, leading to a reduction capacity. XPS FT-IR analyses indicate that after mainly exist form Cu+ Au+, sulfur exists SO42− S2O32−. This implies use recovery leachate face critical challenges because there inevitably content thiosulfate.

[Ion exchange resins].
Ion exchange resins have been used to help formulate pharmaceuticals since the late 1950's. During that time they have proved to be safe and effective excipients and are now used in many commercial formulations throughout the world. In this article we will look at some of the common problems faced by formulators and how using ion exchange resins may be able to solve them. Ion exchange resins ar...
متن کاملKINETICS AND ADSORPTION ISOTHERM OF C-PHYCOCYANIN FROM Spirulina platensis ON ION-EXCHANGE RESINS
C-phycocyanin is a natural blue dye extracted from Spirulina platensis, which has many applications in the food and pharmaceutical industries. In this paper the effect of pH and temperature on the adsorption of C-phycocyanin onto two different ion exchange resins (Streamline DEAE and Streamline Q XL) for expanded bed adsorption chromatography was investigated. Moreover, the kinetics and adsorpt...

In a previous report (1), the differences in the carbon number of the lower fatty acids contained in cutaneous secretions such as axillary sweat, smegma, and dandruff, were considered as factors responsible for the difference in odor between osmidrotic and non-osmidrotic subjects. Besides these there are ammonia constituents and volatile salts (trimethylamine, methylamine) which may take part i...
متن کاملPreliminary Adsorption study for Heavy Metal Removal with Ion-Exchange Resins in the Teaching Laboratory
This paper reports on the adsorption of Cr(VI), Cu(II) and Pb(II) from laboratory solution by the use of Chelex 100 (C100) and Amberlite IRA400 ion exchange resins. Metal loading at initial pHs of 3 to 8 at 1-100 mg/L were studied based on Q max and K f values of the Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models, respectively. Lead was sorbed the most (Q max = 75.19 mg/g, at pH 6), followed by Cu (Q ...
